The Eastern Premier Soccer League (EPSL) was formed in 2020 as a 501(c) non-profit organization. Different from other national and regional leagues, clubs and feeder leagues will be able to participate in governance including the establishing of fees, prize money, and schedule to keep costs down and minimize travel. The EPSL is looking to establish agreements with other local leagues as either a promotion/relegation feeder league or through a cooperative league agreement to preserve and maintain the relevancy of elite local leagues through marketing for members of the EPSL.
The League in its inaugural season is working hard to allow more teams to be able to participate through strategic partnerships. So far three established conferences have shown that the league has room for growth. With the Metropolitan Conference, The Mid-Atlantic Conference and the Northeast Conference the inaugural season has proven to be very competitive.
The EPSL is allowing teams from the Philadelphia, Eastern Pennsylvania, the Lehigh Valley and South Jersey opportunities to present their credentials to join the league. In line with the spirit of making it easier for teams to play within their communities to enhance more local and grassroots participation, the league is opening an opportunity to create a new conference within the state of Pennsylvania and the Philadelphia metro area.
