CASA Soccer League Partners with EPSL

The CASA Soccer League Will Become a Feeder League to the Delaware River Conference

CASA Soccer League Partners with EPSL

Eastern Premier Soccer League (EPSL) is happy to announce that we have entered into an agreement with CASA Soccer League, to bring them on board as an affiliated partner. CASA will assist the EPSL with growing the competitive amateur soccer landscape in the US by launching a new feeder division which will promote into our Delaware River conference.

In this new division, clubs in the Delaware Valley, Lehigh Valley, South Jersey, and Delaware will now be eligible to earn promotion into the EPSL. Beginning with the 2022-23 season, the champion of the new CASA division will be eligible to be promoted to the EPSL, and the runner-up will play in a promotion playoff in the second-bottom EPSL team.

EPSL President Mo Sheta, commented, "We are thrilled to add Philadelphia based CASA to the EPSL family. This adds another piece to building a proper promotion/relegation system in the Eastern United States. Together both organizations will be providing a platform to serve the players at reasonable cost with practicable travel distance.”

CASA will be joining our other regional affiliated partners, such as New York's Cosmopolitan league, New Jersey's Garden State Soccer League, Maryland's Major Soccer League, and others.

CASA President Nolan Bair added, “CASA is excited to help the EPSL with their efforts in the building of a truly open Amateur soccer pyramid via a system of interleague promotion/relegation agreements akin to what the rest of the soccer world has.

We are looking forward to creating a new Sunday 11v11 division to feed into the EPSL. CASA and EPSL hold similar values; a system based on sporting merit can achieve so much in a short period of time. We want to continue to provide opportunities for players, coaches, and clubs in our Philadelphia area that want to aspire to that level, while still maintaining our traditional structure. We believe the way to do that is to branch out and provide a space to play in this historic association of leagues.”

Casa Soccer League is a 501(c)(3), volunteer-led non-profit organization that provides the Philadelphia and South Jersey areas with competitive and recreational, high quality, organized soccer at an affordable rate. CASA has always welcomed anyone, regardless of ability, background, race, sexual orientation, religion, gender identity, and gender expression. Their vast player diversity spans 80+ countries. Whether you are new to the sport or have been playing for your entire life, they have a place for you.  Founded in 2005 with just a handful of teams this inclusiveness has facilitated their growth to 12,000 members across 300 registered teams.

CASA Operates 100% at cost, managed by unpaid volunteers. All proceeds go back into the community to support the growth of the sport at a grassroots level and to benefit their local non-profit soccer partners.

CASA Soccer has always believed strongly in the concept of sporting merit from its inception. The exemplar of this is the 11v11 portion of CASA which houses 86 teams divided into 7 divisions connected via a system of promotion and relegation.

Teams and clubs in the Delaware Valley, Lehigh Valley, South Jersey and Delaware will now be eligible via CASA to earn their way into the EPSL through promotion beginning with the 2022-23 season thanks to this affiliation.

We are excited to be able to partner with CASA and support the growing competitive soccer scene in the Philadelphia area!
