Leesburg, V.A. - The Eastern Premier Soccer League, the elite amateur league affiliated with US Adult Soccer, USASA Region 1, and the National Indpendent Soccer Association, announced that they are partnering with global sports apparel brand Capelli Sport, joining as the title sponsor of the 2023 Finals. The playoffs will be known as the 2023 Capelli Sport EPSL Finals. Each of the 4 conferences will send a representative to the finals, via qualification tournaments or playoffs organized autonomously by the individual conferences. The Revolution Sportsplex in Leesburg, VA will host the 2023 Capelli Sport EPSL playoffs, marking the first time the finals tournament is held in the territory of the Mid-Atlantic Conference. All matches are set to be broadcasted live on YouTube, Facebook, Twitter, Twitch, and Instagram by New Logical Sports.
A live draw will take place on Tuesday, June 20th, at 9PM EDT, livestreamed by New Logical Sports from the Heritage Bar & Restaurant in Yonkers, NY. The draw will determine the 2 semi-final matches that are set to place on Saturday, June 24th at 6 PM EDT and 8 PM EDT respectively. The winner of the 2 semi-finals will then meet in the 2023 Capelli Sport EPSL Final on Sunday, June 25th at 1 PM EDT. Last year, Nova FC won the EPSL Championship, defeating NY Pancyprian Freedoms 2-0 in regular time. The Final 4 teams are still to be decided, with the Metropolitan Conference Playoffs Final to take place on June 10th, the Delaware River Conference Playoffs Final, while the other 2 conferences are set to wrap up their qualifying tournament before the June 20th draw. All matches that do not determine a winner in regulation time, will be decided by 2 additional 15 minute halves of extra time, or by penalty shootout if necessary.
